Software versioning is the process of assigning either unique version names or version numbers to unique states of software.

Numbers are assigned in increasing order and correspond to new developments in the software.


Firmware for Avior devices uses 2 numbering scheme:

Changed when new features are released

or significant improvements are introduced




BUG

Increased when there is a bug fix

Restart from 0 for all new major versions
