To force the connection of remote device to server send the specific command within an SMS. The same command is allowed from local COM PORT.

The remote unit receives an SMS:  AT#CON or  AT#SYNC

the password must be included at the beginning of the message

The device opens the connection to server - if not already connected - uploading data and downloading pending commands (if any), leaving the connection open.

The connection could be closed by network operator after an inactivity period.
