DATA LINK

When the remote unit operates within a cellular network, where data traffic is billed by volume, the connection between the cloud server and the physical unit can be managed in order to keep data traffic within reasonable limits.

WiFi connection is the first choice (if available), when the SIM card is installed and PLMN enabled it is possible to use the cellular network.

The communication protocol is very efficient, so the data volume is minimized. When you need to post data or send messages Avior establishes a connection based on settings that affect both WiFi and cellular connection.

WHEN AN EVENT OCCURS

AVIOR ACTIVATES THE CONNECTION

Minimum time between connections

To avoid too frequent connections, you can set a minimum time interval between consecutive data transfers between 1 and 1440 minutes (24 hours). If one or more events occur within this time, the unit will postpone the upload by sending everything in one session.

Keepalive interval

Avior can receive settings and commands sent from the cloud only when a connection is active. Cellular network operators close the connection after some time of inactivity. To avoid disconnection and to be able to receive commands in real time, it is necessary to keep the connection active by periodically sending data.

Avior can independently send small amounts of data for the sole purpose of keeping the connection active. The default setting of 10 minutes is suitable for most situations and results in data traffic of approximately 24k per day.

When the network policy is more aggressive (closing a connection in a shorter time), this interval could be reduced to 1 minute, increasing the amount of data used to keep the connection alive.

Obviously the useful data (payload) will generate additional traffic.

By setting 0 (zero) this function is disabled.

AFTER PUBLICATION THE DATA
ARE ALWAYS AVAILABLE

WITH PERMANENT CONNECTION COMMANDS AND DATA IN REAL TIME

TECHNICAL NOTE

The AT#SYNC command can be used at any time to synchronize the device with the associated cloud account, to upload only the map use the AT#SMAP command.
